The great star of light
Graced the nativity
Where the holy family,
Mary and her child
And the Noble Joseph
Dwelt in the humble stall
The beasts in the stable
The Kings of the east
And shepherds from the hill
Witnessed the gift of love
Given by a gracious God
To the sinful world
Darth Vader was something of a baker
It was a side of him
he liked to hide
He wasn’t good and
when he made biscuits
They were always a little on the dark side
Moonlight glints
On the silent vales
Dressed crisply
In winters cloak
Lying like rippled
silk
On the frozen land
Are you wearing a spacesuit?
Good that makes two of
us
Because I'm an
astronaut and
Are you wearing space pants?
Well, your virtue may
be imperilled
Because wearing those
pants
Your arse is out of this
world
As the evening light fades
The sky takes on a
twilight hue
Until the stars appear
above
And the moon comes
into view
A dazzling array of stars
Carpet the night sky
Enlivening the heart
And making spirits fly
I see the bright stars high above me
I almost feel they are
a part of me
But as each one
sparkles like a gem
I know one day I will
be part of them
The harvest moon appears
In an Amethyst sky
The centre piece
Amidst the heavenly
array
Of jewelled stars on
display
Where such brilliance
captivates
With spiritual delight
As you stand in awe
And imagine life
Beyond the stars
Dark clouds concealed
The firmament
The moon and stars
Still shone
Though not apparent
And heavens jewels
Remained, unseen
A dazzling array of stars
Carpet the night sky
Enlivening the heart
And making spirits fly
I see the bright stars high above me
I almost feel they are
a part of me
But as each one
sparkles like a gem
I know one day I will
be part of them
I prefer the more romantic view
Even
if it’s not scientifically right
That
the stars in the nocturnal sky
Are
holes in the curtain of night
Last week on my annual vacation
I
went to a gastronomy convention
But
all I saw was food consumption
Learning
about the stars was my intention
A dazzling array of stars
Carpet the night sky
Enlivening the heart
Amidst the myriad stars
The bright crescent moon
Hangs in the midnight sky
And palely paints the ocean
With its gentle lunar light
I see the bright stars high above me
I almost feel they are a part of me
But as each one sparkles like a gem
I know one day I will be part of them
